Recently, while speaking to a leading British website, he told that he actually saw people dictating to him from behind. Some call it the thirst eye. In fact, he has seen ghosts behind him in a period costume dictating songs on a couple of occasions.

The The Pogues frontman added that “A Rainy Night In Soho”, their 1991 track, is a clear example of ghost-writing. MacGowan told that he had no idea about that. He had a faint idea by the time he got to the 4th verse but still he did not have a clue what was actually going on.

Speaking about his personal life, he told that he was really very lucky to be alive. Shane MacGowan’s wife Victoria once said that Shane was very, very close to death. MacGowan added that his wife had started his heart at times.
